NEW HOPE. Due to some feedback we received regarding the changes from our previous location’s British monarch interior, we wanted to explain the design of our new space. Given the history of England (and really the West, in general), we thought it would be more respectful to our diverse staff and customers to evolve our space into one that incorporates other communities not previously highlighted. We really hope that our new space invites everyone, from different backgrounds, to enjoy high tea. This is a safe space for all. Simple. Why Star Trek, you ask? “You know the greatest danger facing us is ourselves, and irrational fear of the unknown. There is no such thing as the unknown. Only things temporarily hidden, temporarily not understood.” — Captain Kirk Star Trek represents a future in which humankind sees themselves as equals. No longer bound to labels or titles which have only proven to cause more harm than good. Money is no longer a weapon that can be used to control our lives. Every person is entitled to the resources they need to survive and thrive. No more wars. The human race has embraced connectedness in such a way that allows for peace. Star Trek provides a glimpse into what we can become and accomplish, if we all work together. It provides Hope.
